Join a mission-driven team flying essential routes across Alaska’s vast and rugged terrain. Lead safe, reliable operations in the Cessna 208 Caravan with company-provided type training (NTR) and a permanent roster.
✈️ The Opportunity
As a Caravan Captain, you’ll operate single-pilot VFR/IFR flights, connecting remote communities and supporting critical logistics in one of aviation’s most rewarding environments. Expect purposeful flying, real-world decision-making, and the chance to hone your skills in dynamic weather and terrain.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Command Cessna 208 Caravan operations with uncompromising focus on safety and compliance.
- Plan and execute flights, including performance calculations, weight and balance, fuel planning, and route selection for remote strips and regional airports.
- Apply sound airmanship in variable Alaska weather and challenging terrain, exercising strong ADM and CRM in single-pilot operations.
- Complete thorough preflight/postflight inspections and ensure accurate technical logs and reports.
- Provide professional, community-focused service while safeguarding cargo and passenger needs.
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- License: FAA CPL required
- Total Time: 2000 hours
- Flight Experience: 500 hours of Alaska flying, or one season of Alaska flying/living experience
- Type Rating: Not required — training provided
- Medical: FAA Class 2
- Additional Requirement: Non-smoker
NTR = No Type Rating required. C208 training provided for qualified candidates.
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Total Time: 3000+ hours
- Alaska Experience: 1000 hours, or two seasons of Alaska flying/living experience
- Credential: ATP License
- Aircraft Time: Cessna 208/Caravan time preferred
