✈️ The Role

As a Pipeline Patrol Captain, you will operate a C-182 at low level to conduct visual patrols, identify and document anomalies, and ensure contracted patrols are completed safely, accurately, and on time. You will work closely with operations management and maintenance to plan flights around weather and aircraft availability, and you will produce clear, concise patrol reports after each sortie.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Operate the Cessna 182 at approximately 500 AGL along assigned pipeline corridors.
  • Navigate confidently in complex airspace while maintaining precise situational awareness and radio communication.
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections and accurately document findings per patrol standards and client requirements.
  • Create timely, high-quality patrol reports, including notes and supporting media as required.
  • Coordinate daily with management and maintenance to optimize routes and schedules around weather and aircraft status.
  • Perform diligent preflight/postflight tasks, track discrepancies, and uphold aircraft care and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to company SOPs, FAA regulations, and contract timelines with a strong safety mindset.

🌟 What You Bring

  • Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time.
  • Current FAA CPL with IR.
  • Current Class 1 medical.
  • Proven proficiency in low-level VFR operations and strong airspace management and communication skills.
  • Clear, concise technical writing for post-patrol reporting.
  • Schedule flexibility to accommodate weather and maintenance changes.
  • Residence within a one-hour commute to U42; local candidates preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
