✈️ The Opportunity
ACI Jet is hiring a seasoned Captain (PIC) to lead safe, elegant, and efficient operations of a Global 8000 for a discerning aircraft owner. You’ll be a key member of a high-touch, service-driven corporate flight team based in San Luis Obispo, delivering world-class experiences across ultra‑long‑range, often international missions.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Operate the Global 8000 safely and efficiently in full compliance with company policies, manufacturer guidance, and all applicable regulations.
- Coordinate closely with ACI Jet Flight Dispatch to plan and execute missions that meet owner objectives and service standards.
- Deliver discreet, anticipatory service to the aircraft owner and guests; protect privacy at all times.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning and inspections, including weather, fuel, performance, alternates, permits, customs, publications, documentation, and runway suitability.
- Remain current on the ACI Jet Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM) and all relevant company documents.
- Review and validate all new or amended Flight Releases; determine whether flights can be initiated, conducted, or terminated safely within authorizations and limitations.
- Report any deviations to the Chief Pilot and all mechanical irregularities to the Director of Maintenance per the MEL and company procedures.
- Foster strong, productive relationships with dispatch, maintenance, line service, and wider ACI Jet teams.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Total time: Minimum 5,000 hours; Multi‑engine: Minimum 2,500 hours.
- Prior ultra‑long‑range aircraft and significant international experience.
- Current and valid ATP Certificate with English Proficient endorsement; First Class Medical.
- Valid driver’s license and current U.S. passport; able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of professional aviation experience.
- Strong knowledge of applicable FARs and company procedures; computer proficient.
- Team‑oriented, service‑minded professional with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and approachable demeanor.
- Flexible for holidays, nights, and weekends; thrives in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and to climb, kneel, squat, sit, and stand for extended periods.
- No violations of FAA regulations within the last five (5) years; fluent in English (read, write, speak).
🌟 Highly Desirable
- Global 7500/8000 type rating strongly preferred; BBD‑700 type and Global Vision experience strongly preferred.
- Prior Bombardier operating experience.
- Fluency in Spanish, Italian, or other Latin‑based languages.
