✈️ About the role
AviaN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Boeing 747-400 pilot for a short-term freelance assignment in the Middle East. You will operate as Second-in-Command on the B747-400 for a focused 10-day program at the end of April, supporting safe and efficient flight operations for our client. Current B747-400 type experience is essential; PICs are welcome to apply if appropriately checked out for the right-hand seat.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the Boeing 747-400 as SIC in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, performance calculations, and briefings with the flight deck crew.
- Execute normal and non-normal procedures, ensuring strict compliance with safety and operational requirements.
- Maintain precise communication with ATC and ground operations, upholding ICAO standards.
- Assist with post-flight documentation and debriefs to support continuous operational excellence.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- License: Valid ATPL from EASA or FAA (B747-400 typed and fully current).
- Total Time: Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time.
- Time on Type: Minimum 500 hours on Boeing 747-400.
- Medical: Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Safety Record: No accidents or incidents.
- Seat: SIC preferred; PIC candidates must hold documented RH seat checkout.
Note: Only current and qualified B747-400 pilots meeting all criteria will be considered.
