🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as First Officer on the Boeing 737NG in domestic and international operations
- Execute safe, efficient, compliant operations across scheduled and charter missions
- Uphold SOPs, CRM, and regulatory standards (FAA & company)
- Contribute to on-time performance and an exceptional guest experience
🧰 Training & progression
Sun Country operates an in-house Certified Training Program led by our own instructors to set you up for long-term success on the 737NG.
- Company-paid ATP–CTP if you do not hold a current ATP written
- Contractual pay and benefits from day one of training
- Single-occupancy hotel accommodations provided during training
🌟 Minimum qualifications
- Flight time: 750 hours total time; 250 hours PIC in an airplane
- Cross-country: 200 hours total (100 hours PIC in an airplane)
- Night: 100 hours total (25 hours PIC in an airplane)
- Instrument: 75 hours
- Multi-engine: 25 hours actual
- Simulator credit: Up to 100 hours may be credited
- Education: Graduate of an FAA Part 141 accredited school with either (a) an associate degree and at least 30 aviation-major credits, or (b) a bachelor’s degree and at least 60 aviation-major credits
- ATP written: Current ATP written with at least 4 months until expiration; if not held, company-paid ATP-CTP provided to complete the written
- Licenses & medical: R-ATP eligible; FCC Radio License; Class 1 medical
- Other: Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to travel to and from all cities and countries served by Sun Country; High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Recency: Recent flight experience preferred
📏 R-ATP eligibility pathways
- 1,000 hours total time with a 4-year aviation degree from an FAA Part 141 program
- 1,250 hours total time with a 2-year aviation degree from an FAA Part 141 program
- 750 hours total time for U.S. military flight training graduates
🧾 Certifications & documents
- FAA certificates and R-ATP eligibility
- Current ATP written (or company-paid ATP-CTP to obtain the written)
- FCC Radio License
- Proof of qualifying education (FAA Part 141)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel to/from all served cities and countries
🌍 Where you’ll fly
Operate throughout the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), with additional flying to the Caribbean and Europe across scheduled and charter missions.
