✈️ About the Mission

The Oil Spill Response 737 Captain role exists to provide the safe, efficient operation of a modified B737‑500 fitted with a spray system for applying dispersant to oil spills. You’ll lead critical sorties that help protect marine environments and coastal communities, working closely with response partners and ATC to deliver precise, time‑sensitive aerial application.

🧭 Where You’ll Operate

Primary response areas include U.S. coastal waters, with potential deployments to Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. Operations may involve rapid mobilization, coastal flying, variable weather, and extended duty periods during active response missions.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated command of multi‑engine turbine transport aircraft and crew leadership.
  • Proven judgment in dynamic, safety‑critical operations and coastal/over‑water environments.
  • Strong SOP discipline, CRM, and communications under time‑sensitive conditions.

📏 Minimum Flight Requirements

  • Total Time: 2,000 hours
  • Pilot‑in‑Command (PIC): 1,000 hours
  • In‑Type (B737): 200 hours
  • Multi‑Engine: 1,000 hours
  • Turbine: 1,000 hours
  • Instrument: 50 hours
  • Type Rating: B737 (Required)
  • Licenses: CPL, IR, ME (FAA)
  • Medical: Second Class (Class 2)

  • Security: Able to successfully pass a Personnel Security and Background Check
  • Consideration: The client excludes individuals convicted of any felony or any drug‑related offense
