✈️ About the role

The BN-2 Islander is a rugged, twin-engine, short takeoff and landing workhorse—perfect for short hops, challenging strips, and varied coastal or regional operations. You’ll operate in a true multi-crew environment, working closely with the Captain to deliver safe, efficient flights while honing IFR/VFR proficiency across diverse conditions.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Support the Captain through all phases of flight, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs and CRM best practice.
  • Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight & balance.
  • Fly short sectors and short-field operations, applying strong manual flying skills when required.
  • Operate safely in both IFR and VFR environments, adapting to dynamic coastal and regional weather.
  • Deliver a professional, friendly service to passengers and stakeholders on the ground and in the air.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety, punctuality, and continuous improvement.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: Minimum 500 hours
  • PIC time: Minimum 100 hours
  • Multi-engine: Minimum 100 hours P1 (multi-engine)
  • Licences: CPL, IR, ME (UK CAA)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher
  • Type rating: Not required – full training provided
  • Right to work: Visa sponsorship not provided; you must have the unrestricted right to work where the role is based.
  • Flight time notes: A minimum total time of 500 hours with 100 hours multi-engine P1.
