Ameriflight LLC, a leading Part 135 cargo airline with a fleet of 120+ aircraft, is hiring a full-time Captain to operate our Beechcraft 1900 on the weekday evening shuttle between Klamath Falls (LMT) and Portland (PDX). Take the left seat, fly a reliable route, and keep the Northwest moving overnight.
🧭 The Mission
Lead safe, efficient, on-time cargo operations between Klamath Falls and Portland, supporting Ameriflight’s regional express airfreight services for cargo integrators, manufacturers, aircraft operators, and freight forwarders. You’ll fly evenings Monday through Friday to PDX, overnight in a company-provided shared apartment, and return to LMT the following morning.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Operate the Beechcraft 1900 as Pilot in Command under Part 135 in IFR conditions.
- Execute the weekday evening LMT → PDX leg and next-morning PDX → LMT return, adhering to SOPs and all regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with dispatch, maintenance, and ground teams to deliver time-critical freight.
- Champion safety, risk management, and operational excellence on every flight.
- Maintain currency, documentation, and badging compliance at all times.
🌟 What You’ll Bring
- Minimum hours: 1,800 total time; 1,000 PIC; 500 cross-country (point-to-point); 250 multi-engine; 100 turbine PIC (multi-engine experience preferred); 100 instrument (including ≥50 in-aircraft); 100 night.
- Experience: Previous FAR Part 121 or Part 135 experience required; Instrument Proficiency Check or Part 121/135 recurrent training within the past 6 months.
- Certificates: Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with multi-engine land and instrument ratings; high-performance and complex endorsements.
- Medical: First or Second Class Medical (First Class required for international operations).
- Other: FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit; current passport; English proficiency; eligibility to work in and travel unrestricted in and out of the United States; airport badging eligibility including TSA security background check; valid driver’s license meeting company insurance criteria.
💼 Pay, Time & Lifestyle
- Starting salary: $87,006 annually.
- Approximately 50 block hours per month.
- Weeknight flying with morning returns; weekends generally off subject to operational needs.
- Shared apartment provided in Portland for layovers.
