🧭 The role

As a Beechcraft 1900 Captain, you’ll set the standard for safe, efficient operations. You’ll lead the crew, exercise sound judgment in all phases of flight, and deliver a smooth, professional experience for passengers and stakeholders while upholding company SOPs and regulatory requirements.

  • Command day/night and IFR/VFR operations with uncompromising safety.
  • Lead effective CRM and mentor the First Officer.
  • Execute precise flight planning, performance, and fuel strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Champion a just culture, proactive safety reporting, and continuous improvement.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 1,500 hours
  • License: ATPL (TCCA)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO English: Level 4
  • Type rating: Not required — training provided (NTR)
  • Eligibility: Able to obtain medical and Transport Canada security clearances

🌟 Preferred qualifications

  • Current Beechcraft 1900 type rating (preference will be given to current type-rated candidates).
  • Strong PIC decision-making, workload management, and leadership.
  • Proven record of SOP discipline and SMS participation.

🧪 Compliance and screening

  • Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening, resulting in a negative test result, is a condition of employment.
  • Screening is provided at KBA expense and will be conducted, where possible, on the first day of employment.
