🧭 The role

As an ATR 72 First Officer, you will operate multi-crew turboprop services within a disciplined SOP environment, delivering safe, efficient, and courteous operations on every sector. You’ll work closely with the Captain and wider operations team, bringing strong situational awareness, clear communication, and high professional standards to the flight deck.

  • Execute all phases of flight in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, performance calculations, and briefings.
  • Apply sound CRM, threat and error management, and decision-making.
  • Manage ATR 72 turboprop systems and profiles in IFR environments and varied weather.
  • Uphold a strong safety culture, reporting and learning proactively.
  • Maintain currency and proficiency through training and checking programs.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • Total Time: 200 hours minimum
  • PIC Time: 70 hours minimum
  • Licence: UK CAA Frozen ATPL with valid IR, MCC, ME, and UPRT
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language: ICAO English Level 6
  • Type Rating: Not required (training provided on ATR 72)
  • Eligibility: Right to live and work in the UK; no visa sponsorship
  • Security: 5-year verifiable background for airside clearance

🌟 Preferred experience

  • Current or previous ATR type rating.
  • Prior turboprop flight experience.
  • Experience within regional airlines or small-scale commercial operators.

🎓 Training and development

Non-Type Rated? No problem. You’ll receive a structured ATR 72 training pathway, including ground school and simulator phases, followed by supervised Line Flying to build confidence and competence. Expect a supportive training culture focused on safety, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
