✈️ The mission

Join Voyageur’s dedicated Medevac team as a Direct Entry Captain on the King Air BE20. You’ll lead life-saving flights across the region, exercising full Pilot-in-Command authority to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate air ambulance service—no two missions the same, every one that matters.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command on the King Air BE20, safeguarding patients, medical crew, passengers, aircraft, and cargo.
  • Plan and brief each mission: route, weather, performance, fuel, alternates, and operational considerations.
  • Supervise and delegate to crew members; ensure clear, concise crew briefings and effective task management.
  • Maintain operational control from dispatch to shutdown; uphold on-time performance and mission objectives.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Voyageur Dispatch, ATC, FSS, and customers throughout each mission.
  • Ensure all required charts, publications, and navigation tools are current and on board.
  • Review, amend, and complete operational paperwork, including Operational Flight Plans, manifests, and logbooks.
  • Lead safety briefings and simulated emergency scenarios; proactively use the Safety and Risk Management System.
  • Comply with company policies, Canadian Aviation Regulations, and SOPs; maintain currency and qualifications on the BE20.

🧰 What you bring

  • Valid Canadian ATPL (ICAO-compliant).
  • Minimum 2,000 hours total time and 500 hours multi-engine PIC.
  • Minimum 200 hours on King Air series (100/200/300/350).
  • BE20 or BE30 type rating is an asset.
  • Medevac/Air Ambulance experience is an asset.
  • Confident operating independently with minimal supervision; decisive and solutions-focused.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible rotation schedule.
  • Valid passport and unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
  • Previous related roles may include: Captain, First Officer, BE20/BE30 Pilot, King Air Pilot, Medevac Pilot, Airline Pilot.
