We’re seeking a hands-on, agile pilot who loves travelling, thrives on change, and brings a proactive, can-do attitude. This full-time role reports to the Head of Flying Operations (HOO) and is ideal for a team player with a professional outlook who enjoys special-mission flying and precision operations.

  • Employment: Permanent, Full-time
  • Location: Australia — reside within 2 hours of a major city airport (e.g., Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide)
  • Reports to: Head of Flying Operations (HOO)
  • Roster: 16 days on / 12 days off (includes 4 standby days within the 12 days off)
  • Type Rating: Not required (training provided) — NTR friendly

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Conduct safe, efficient multi-engine aerial survey operations in controlled and regional airspace across Australia.
  • Execute precise survey flight profiles, working closely with operations and sensor teams to achieve data quality targets.
  • Plan and brief missions, including performance, weather, NOTAMs, and airspace considerations (Class C and D).
  • Manage aircraft, mission equipment integration, and operational paperwork in accordance with company manuals and CASA regulations.
  • Travel frequently and adapt to changing schedules, locations, and operational priorities.

🌟 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 500 hours
  • Multi-engine: 50 hours
  • Licence: CASA CPL with IR and ME
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher
  • Airspace experience: Operations in primary control zones — Class C and D
  • Type Rating: Not required (training provided)
  • Work rights: Visa sponsorship not provided; unrestricted right to work in Australia required
