✈️ A320 Family First Officer
Join a key division of the Qantas Group as we expand our narrow‑body operations. We’re inviting expressions of interest from capable First Officers who meet the minimum requirements and are ready to contribute in a high‑performance, safety‑first, multi‑crew environment.
🧭 The opportunity
We are currently accepting expressions of interest for First Officer positions on our narrow‑body fleet. While base locations are yet to be determined, this is a chance to step into a frontline role within the Qantas Group, operating to a high standard of airmanship, teamwork and customer focus.
We welcome applications from qualified pilots who meet the minimum criteria and are eager to contribute to our operations.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 500 hours
- Licensing: CASA Frozen ATPL (ATPL theory credit), IR with 2D and 3D approach endorsements, and Multi‑Engine rating
- Multi‑crew: Experience in a multi‑crew operation or successful completion of a Multi‑Crew Cooperation (MCC) course
- Command time: One of the following:
- 200 hours in command of a multi‑engine aircraft (excluding PICUS); or
- 200 hours in command of a turbine‑powered fixed‑wing aircraft; or
- 200 hours on aircraft certified for operation by a crew of two pilots (multi‑crew aircraft)
- Medical: Class 1
- English proficiency: ICAO Level 6
🌟 Additional requirements
- Current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas Freight ports of call and at least 12 months validity
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
- Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Australian permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in Australia
🧩 Training and support
No A320 type rating? No problem. This is an NTR opportunity with training provided. You’ll transition into a modern, SOP‑driven environment with structured instruction and ongoing support to help you perform confidently on type.
