As an A220 Line Training Captain, you’ll shape line operations, uphold uncompromising safety standards, and develop the next generation of flight crew through inclusive, high-impact training on the line.
✈️ The opportunity
In this frontline leadership role, you’ll conduct line training and checking, embed best-practice human factors, and model the professionalism expected of a senior captain. You’ll ensure SOP excellence, support continuous improvement, and create a learning culture where safety, inclusivity, and performance thrive.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Deliver high-quality line training and facilitate effective learning for flight crew transitioning, upgrading, and maintaining proficiency on the A220.
- Coach and assess pilots with a focus on non-technical skills, threat and error management, and human factors in daily operations.
- Lead by example on the flight deck—setting the tone for safety, teamwork, and exceptional decision-making under operational pressures.
- Champion SOP consistency, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of airmanship and customer care.
- Contribute to a collaborative training culture—sharing insights with training, checking, and safety teams to enhance outcomes.

🌟 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 4,000 hours minimum
- PIC in type: 1,000 hours (A220 or similar generation 4 jet aircraft)
- Type rating: Current A220 type rating required
- Experience as a training or check captain (or equivalent qualification) on jet aircraft
- License: ATPL (CASA)
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO ELP: Level 6
