🧭 The Mission

Lead Hercules missions that demand precision, judgment, and leadership. You’ll execute captain’s duties in low-level environments while remotely guiding a capable, tight-knit crew to deliver safe, timely, and compliant outcomes across varied projects.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command on C‑130/L‑382 missions with a primary focus on safe, disciplined low-altitude operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and schedule a small, distributed crew; coordinate readiness, training, and performance from a remote location.
  • Plan and execute domestic and international deployments, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, mission briefs/debriefs, and continuous safety oversight.
  • Own project and personnel management tasks, including timelines, logistics, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align aircraft, crew, and mission resources for successful outcomes.

🌟 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total time: 1,500 hours minimum
  • Type Rating: Required — C‑130 / L‑382 (FAA L‑382)
  • License: ATP (FAA)
  • Medical: Class 2
  • Availability: Able to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions; up to 45+ days per trip (typically no more than twice per year)
  • Remote Leadership: Proven ability to work independently and manage a small crew away from IAR’s headquarters

🧠 Preferred Experience

  • 2,500+ hours on C‑130 / L‑382
  • Significant heavy turboprop aircraft experience
  • Aerial application experience
  • Aerial delivery experience
  • 5,000+ hours total flight time
  • Demonstrated performance in low-level environments and mission leadership

🧭 Travel & Deployment

Deployments may take you beyond the local area and/or outside the U.S. for up to 45 days or more per assignment, typically no more than twice annually. Flexibility and readiness to mobilize are essential.
