Join a mission-ready flight team operating the legendary DHC-6 Twin Otter. This permanent First Officer role welcomes non–type-rated pilots and provides aircraft-specific training. If you’re a safety-focused aviator who communicates clearly, thrives in multi-crew operations, and can travel for extended periods, we want to hear from you.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Support the Captain in safe, efficient operation of the DHC-6 across diverse environments and mission profiles.
- Execute SOPs, checklists, and strong CRM; maintain precise radio comms using your FCC RR.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance.
- Operate VFR/IFR while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Accurately complete logs, reports, and documentation to support operational and regulatory requirements.
- Travel away from domicile for extended periods while upholding professional standards and readiness.
- As assigned, support specialized training and mission sets (e.g., aerial delivery training, night operations) in line with experience and approvals.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 500 hours
- Multi-engine time: 25 hours
- Licenses: FAA CPL with IR and ME
- Medical: Class 1
- Type rating: Not required — training provided
- Permit: Hold or obtain a current FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (RR)
- Education: High School Diploma
- Security: Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
- Travel: Ability to travel away from domicile for long periods
🌟 Preferred qualifications
- FAA Multi-Engine ATP certificate
- 1,000 hours total flight time in airplanes
- 100 hours multi-engine time in airplanes
- Experience in DHC-6 operations as a pilot (please annotate on resume)
- Experience in aerial delivery training
- Experience in NVG operations

Type rating not required — successful candidates receive aircraft-specific training to qualify for Twin Otter operations. You’ll refine your multi-crew skills, standard procedures, and mission readiness under experienced instructors.
