Turboprop Captain – King Air, Conquest & Caravan (Type Rating Provided)
✈️ About the role
The Aircraft Captain serves as Pilot in Command with final authority for safe, compliant, and efficient operations across a versatile turboprop fleet. You will plan and execute missions, lead and coordinate crew, manage operational risk within our SMS, and make sound, time-critical decisions. This is an NTR opportunity—no specific type rating required, with comprehensive training provided. You’ll lead by example and champion a safety-first culture every flight.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as Pilot in Command with final authority for safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Plan and execute missions, including performance, weight and balance, weather, fuel, alternates, and route selection.
- Lead and coordinate crew, modeling professional CRM and adherence to SOPs and checklists.
- Apply operational risk management and the company SMS to drive proactive safety decisions and go/no-go assessments.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and aircraft limitations.
- Maintain meticulous flight records, briefings, and post-flight reporting; communicate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and leadership.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across all aspects of flight operations.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- FAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- FAA Second-Class Medical.
- 750+ hours total flight time.
- 1+ years of experience as PIC of an aircraft operated under CFR 14 Part 91, 135, or 121.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with associates and senior management.
- Professional presence with internal and external stakeholders; positive, helpful attitude under pressure.
- Well organized with the ability to handle multiple and competing priorities.
- Type rating not required—training provided.
🌟 Preferred experience
- Certified Flight Instructor: CFI, CFII, and MEI.
- 1+ years as an instrument and/or multiengine instructor.
- Aerial survey experience.
- Time in King Air 200, Cessna Conquest II, or Cessna Caravan.
- Pressurized turbine aircraft experience.
- Multiengine experience.
- Remote flying experience in Alaska or similar challenging environments.
