If dawn on glassy water, turbine whine, and backcountry docks are your happy place, this is your season. After nearly two decades, a beloved lodge pilot has hung up the headset. We’re looking for the next aviator to carry the torch—a skilled, guest-focused captain to fly our Turbo Otter on floats for an exclusive wilderness lodge in northern Saskatchewan.

  • Employment: Seasonal
  • Operation: Premium wilderness lodge guest transport on floats
  • Aircraft: DHC‑3T Turbo Otter (primary); DHC‑2 Beaver experience valued
  • Location: Northern Saskatchewan; transportation provided from our Flin Flon base
  • Includes: All meals and accommodations at the lodge; travel from Flin Flon to site
  • Type rating: Not required — training provided

🧭 Your mission

  • Captain the DHC‑3T Turbo Otter on floats, safely transporting guests between the lodge, remote lakes, and regional bases.
  • Execute precise dockside operations, mooring, loading/unloading, and fueling in varied water and weather conditions.
  • Plan and brief flights; make sound go/no-go decisions based on weather, performance, and water conditions.
  • Perform accurate weight & balance and fuel planning; maintain meticulous flight and journey logs.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience—warm welcomes, clear briefings, and a calm, confident presence.
  • Coordinate closely with lodge operations, guides, and dock crew; pitch in with logistics when needed.
  • Uphold company SOPs and the Canadian Aviation Regulations; ensure the aircraft is clean, secure, and ready for the next departure.

🧰 What you bring

  • Flight time: Minimum 300 hours Turbo Otter on floats and 500 hours Beaver on floats
  • Licences: TCCA CPL with Float Rating
  • Medical: Class 2
  • Language proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
  • Training: Current egress training
  • Strengths: Strong organizational skills, a team-oriented approach, and outstanding customer service
