GFK Flight Support is hiring a seasoned Pilot in Command to operate a 2002 Socata TBM 700 out of Grand Forks, North Dakota. You will lead safe, efficient Part 91 operations for a group of five co-owners, with most trips planned well in advance. Company-paid initial and recurrent training is provided at SimCom in Orlando, Florida.

  • Operation: FAR Part 91 for a five-owner group
  • Schedule: Flights generally scheduled well in advance
  • Training: Company-paid initial and recurrent at SimCom (Orlando, FL)
  • Compensation: $75,000–$91,000 annually, experience-based
  • Employment: Permanent, Full-time

✈️ The Mission

As the PIC, you will be the final authority for all TBM 700 flights, ensuring passenger safety and operational excellence under Part 91. You will plan, brief, and execute single-pilot turbine operations with strong decision-making and clear communication to owners and stakeholders.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

  • Exercise full PIC authority and ensure safe, efficient transport of all passengers in the TBM 700.
  • Comply with all applicable FAR, AIM, and company GOM.
  • Operate confidently in a single-pilot environment with strong SRM.
  • Assess weather, aircraft, and operational factors; promptly communicate changes to supervisors and passengers.
  • Identify early warning signs of changing flight or aircraft conditions and respond appropriately.
  • Conduct thorough preflight and postflight walk-arounds and complete all required documentation.
  • Deliver clear passenger safety and operational briefings, especially when status changes.
  • Maintain ongoing proficiency in the assigned airframe; participate in meetings, education, checkoffs, and regulatory training.
  • Establish and maintain professional communication with owners, coworkers, and management; perform other duties as assigned.

🧰 Qualifications

Must-haves

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate (ASEL & AMEL) with Instrument Rating (CPL)
  • Current FAA First- or Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • No FAA certificate actions within the last five years

Preferred experience

  • 2,000+ hours total time and 1,500+ hours PIC
  • 500+ hours cross-country; 100+ hours night; 75+ hours actual or simulated instrument
  • Previous TBM 700 time
  • Experience in turbine, pressurized, and complex aircraft
  • Cold-weather and icing operations experience
  • Knowledge of EFIS flight instruments and King KFC 325 autopilot
  • Effective verbal and written communication; strong critical thinking and adaptability
