Help pioneer safe, everyday autonomous flight. Wisk Aero, a fully owned Boeing subsidiary developing an all-electric, self-flying air taxi, is seeking a Staff Flight Test Pilot to join our Flight Test team in Hollister, CA.

✈️ The Mission

Join the team testing, evaluating, and helping certify a new class of all-electric, autonomous aircraft. You’ll shape flight-test strategy, execute complex missions in both crewed support aircraft and uncrewed systems, and elevate safety and rigor across the program.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Author comprehensive air vehicle and subsystem test plans.
  • Identify and analyze test hazards; define and enforce mitigations.
  • Conduct flight tests in general-aviation support aircraft and un-crewed aircraft systems (UAS).
  • Develop, review, and approve trajectory planning for UAS mission profiles.
  • Report test results to certification-authority standards.
  • Contribute to program documentation: restrictions and special instructions to test, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Mentor and lead fellow flight testers, fostering disciplined test conduct and continuous improvement.

🧰 What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience as a test pilot in flight testing fixed- and/or rotary-wing aircraft, or similarly complex aerospace systems.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot certificate (Fixed or Rotary Wing).
  • Minimum FAA Second Class Medical certificate.
  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering or relevant technical field.

🌟 Bonus Points

  • 1500+ total flight hours, including 200+ hours in flight test.
  • Graduate of an accredited engineering test pilot school.
  • Certification flight-test experience with FAA, TCCA, or EASA.
  • Unmanned aircraft systems flight operations experience.
  • Experience with electric propulsion or other high stored-energy testing.
  • Flight test experience in both fixed-wing and turbine rotary-wing platforms.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

📜 Certificates & Medical

  • Pilot certificates: CPL or ATP (Unrestricted)
  • Medical: FAA Second Class (minimum)
