Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G450 Captain based at KCMA in Camarillo, California. You’ll deliver safe, professional transportation for our clients while upholding our core values of safety, service, integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence.
✈️ Role overview
As Captain, you are responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G450. You will lead each flight with professionalism, sound judgment, and a client-first mindset—planning thoroughly, communicating clearly, and executing to the highest standards on every leg.
🧭 Key responsibilities
- Act as Captain of the Gulfstream G450, ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew at all times.
- Review aircraft maintenance status and airworthiness prior to flight.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Plan and brief each mission: evaluate weather, facilities, route conditions, destination airports, and appropriate alternates.
- Operate in full compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Complete all trip documentation accurately and promptly in accordance with current procedures.
- Maintain currency and proficiency, including annual completion of ICAO International Procedures training.
- Support an on-call schedule while providing exemplary service and communication to clients and team members.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 3,000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- MEL PIC: 500 hours
- Turbojet time: 500 hours
- Instrument time: 250 hours
- Type rating on the Gulfstream G450 or a comparable aircraft.
- Current first-class medical.
- Annual completion of ICAO International Procedures training.
- Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KCMA, or willingness to relocate.
- Ability to support on-call operational needs.
