Based 100% onsite in Tokyo, you’ll collaborate across engineering, training, and customer teams to deliver world-class training and flight services to airlines around the globe.
✈️ The opportunity
As a Senior Technical Pilot, you will support Boeing’s Training & Flight Services, partnering with internal stakeholders and airline customers to enhance operational safety, reliability, and efficiency. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Deliver and support training and flight services for Boeing commercial customers, with emphasis on 787/777 operations.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on widebody flight operations, collaborating with engineering, training, and customer teams.
- Evaluate and help refine procedures, checklists, and operational guidance to drive safety and efficiency.
- Provide crew mentoring, simulator support, and operational assessments as needed.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
🧰 What you’ll bring (minimum requirements)
- Total time: 3,000 hours minimum.
- Type rating: Current Boeing 787 or 777 type rating (required).
- Experience: Proven experience flying transport category aircraft.
- Licenses: CPL with IR and ME.
- Accepted authorities: FAA, ICAO, or JCAB.
- Medical: Class 2.
- Language: ICAO English Level 4 or higher.
- Tools: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across functions and levels.
🌟 Preferred qualifications
- Instructor or check pilot experience on Boeing aircraft.
- FAR 121 line experience.
🏢 Work location & eligibility
- Onsite: This role is 100% onsite at the Boeing Japan Tokyo Office (Tokyo, Japan).
- Relocation: Assistance is not available. Candidates must live locally or relocate at their own expense.
- Work authorization: Employer visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Only candidates able to work onsite in Tokyo without employer-provided visa sponsorship will be considered.
