Executive Jet Management (a Berkshire Hathaway company) is hiring a seasoned Captain to serve as PIC on a Praetor 600 based in Wilmington, DE. Join a collaborative 4-pilot team supported by a dedicated Cabin Attendant, flying a premium mid/super-midsize cabin aircraft across North America and select international destinations.

  • Company: Executive Jet Management (EJM)
  • Location: Wilmington, DE (KILG)
  • Operation: Part 91 (~400 hrs) + Part 135 (~100–150 hrs)
  • Annual Utilization: 500–550 flight hours; ~25% international
  • Crew Model: 4-pilot account with Cabin Attendant
  • Residency: Live within 1 hour of ILG within 90 days; not a commutable PIC role
  • Employment: Full-time, salaried
  • License: FAA ATP (ATPL) and applicable type rating
  • Base Salary Range: $225,000–$280,000 (Mid/Supermid cabin)

✈️ Your Mission

As PIC, you hold final authority and responsibility for safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Praetor 600 on every leg.

  • Ensure trip crewing and assignments meet all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Own flight planning, performance calculations, and weight & balance for each mission.
  • Lead briefings using TPC methodology; apply CRM and TEM throughout all phases of flight.
  • Adhere to EJM SOPs; coordinate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and leadership.
  • Serve as Ground Security Coordinator and In‑Flight Security Coordinator per policy.
  • Oversee all preflight actions, verify maintenance status, and ensure aircraft readiness.
  • Record discrepancies per SOP; supervise fueling and ground servicing (oil, oxygen, etc.).
  • Conduct passenger briefings and deliver a refined, anticipatory service experience, including support for travelers with special needs.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve service deviations; collaborate closely with fellow crew and EJM teams.

🧰 What You Bring

  • FAA ATP (ATPL) and type rating in applicable fleet.
  • Prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the role.

Minimum flight time:

  • Total Time: 3,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
  • PIC Total: 2,000 hours
  • PIC MEL: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 300 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours

  • Balanced mix of Part 91 and on-demand Part 135 flying.
  • Estimated 500–550 flight hours annually.
  • Approximately 25% international operations.
  • Supported by a Cabin Attendant to elevate the onboard experience.
