Lead the flight deck of a state-of-the-art Praetor 600 as Pilot-in-Command, delivering safe, smooth and discreet operations for a premium private/charter clientele. This is a hands-on command role for a captain who pairs impeccable airmanship with outstanding customer service.
✈️ The Opportunity
Based in London, you will command a well-presented Praetor 600 on European and intercontinental missions. You will be trusted to plan and execute flights to the highest professional standards under UK CAA/EASA-comparable regulations, champion a proactive safety culture, and mentor the flight deck and cabin team.
🧭 Key Responsibilities
- Act as Pilot-in-Command on the Praetor 600 (EMB-550), ensuring full compliance with company SOPs, SMS and applicable UK CAA regulations.
- Own end-to-end flight preparation: routing, performance, fuel planning, weather and NOTAM review, alternates, oceanic and special procedures where applicable.
- Deliver calm, decisive leadership in all phases of flight; set the tone for exemplary CRM, TEM and just culture.
- Maintain aircraft technical oversight with maintenance control; ensure MEL/CDL application and accurate tech log entries.
- Uphold VIP service standards with discretion and professionalism; liaise with clients, handlers and vendors.
- Manage EFBs, aircraft data and navigation database currency; leverage Pro Line Fusion systems effectively.
- Support scheduling flexibility, including short-notice trips, weekends and public holidays when required.
- Represent the operation positively with airports, authorities and partners worldwide.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Current EMB-550 type rating and recent Praetor 600/Legacy 500 experience.
- UK CAA or EASA Part-FCL ATPL(A) (or CPL/IR with ATPL theory credit) and valid Class 1 Medical.
- Proven jet command experience with a strong, incident-free safety record in business aviation or comparable operations.
- Excellent knowledge of European airspace, performance, RVSM/RNP/LPV, PBN and, ideally, oceanic procedures.
- Current recurrent/simulator proficiency; up-to-date CRM, DG, SEMEP/first aid and security training preferred.
- Outstanding CRM and client-facing communication; calm under pressure and solutions-focused.
- Professional discretion and integrity; high attention to detail and cabin/flight deck presentation.
- Valid passport with worldwide travel capability; ability to obtain visas as needed (e.g., US/Schengen).
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for airport airside ID/security clearance.
- Fluent English, ICAO Level 5+.

📍 Base & Operations
Base: London, W8 5EH. Primary operations across the UK, Europe and the Near East, with occasional transatlantic or longer-range trips within aircraft performance and regulatory approvals.

- Operate within UK CAA requirements and company SMS/SOPs aligned with IS-BAO best practice.
- Adhere to applicable FTL, duty and rest limitations; model exemplary TEM and flight risk assessment.
- Ensure meticulous documentation, record-keeping and post-flight reporting.
