FlightSafety International is hiring a part-time Simulator Second-in-Command to support customer pilots during recurrent, initial, or generic training events—especially when they arrive without a flying partner. If you’re keen to stay sharp in multi-crew operations across a variety of aircraft types without taking on instructional duties, this role keeps you in the right seat and in the game.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Act as a competent SIC for internal and external customers training in multi-crew aircraft when a partner is not available.
  • Maintain currency and qualification in assigned simulator programs in accordance with FlightSafety International’s Quality Management Systems.
  • Support training conducted under Part 142, Part 135, and for non-FAA clients, as assigned.
  • Keep all required certificates, ratings, and designations current for SIC duties across various aircraft types.

🧰 What you bring

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category, class, and instrument ratings.
  • Minimum 450 hours total time.
  • High school diploma or GED plus 2–3 years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent spoken and written English; clear, professional cockpit communication and strong customer interaction skills. A second language may be required at some Learning Centers.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and perform in high-pressure training scenarios.

🧎‍♂️ Physical & work environment

  • Manipulate rudder or anti-torque controls with both feet and operate simulator controls effectively.
  • Enter and exit the simulator via its ramp; egress a malfunctioned simulator in a severely pitched attitude.
  • Meet required visual standards; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Work around moving mechanical parts and varied environmental conditions as typical in simulator facilities.

Compliance: This role may require compliance with OFAC and ITAR/EAR export-control regulations and any applicable U.S. Government security-clearance requirements.
