Owner Services Pilot – Cessna Citation (Sarasota, FL)

✈️ About the role

In this on-site role, you will provide daily flight operations support for owners covered by Textron’s ProOwnership management agreement. You’ll combine flight operations, customer service, aircraft oversight, regulatory compliance, currency management, and coordination with maintenance, account management, and flight-operations leadership to deliver a seamless ownership experience.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Provide on-site flight support and elevate the ownership experience with product expertise on Citation systems, avionics, and flying characteristics.
• Serve as the liaison between the owner and Textron Aviation; act as primary contact for remotely based flight-operations issues and as lead pilot when designated.
• Explain Pilot-in-Command responsibilities, safe operating standards, and efficient aircraft-utilization methods; drive practical solutions to operational issues.
• Perform thorough preflight and post-flight inspections; identify and communicate mechanical and cosmetic discrepancies to the Maintenance Manager and applicable Service Center.
• Coordinate required inspections and ensure certifications for MNPS, RVSM, and RNP for domestic and international travel.
• Partner with the account manager on scheduling; continuously monitor flights against the operations manual and ensure compliance with crew duty/rest limits, runway-length requirements, and weather minimums—prioritizing safety on every leg.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable FAA and ICAO regulations and comply with all local procedures.
• Stay current on all required training (initial, recurrent, emergency procedures, crew coordination/CRM, international procedures); proactively notify leadership when currency nears expiration.
• Handle daily department tasks: maintain flight logs, update navigation databases, obtain current electronic and paper flight documents, manage storeroom duties, and perform light aircraft cleaning.
• Coordinate vacation requests with the account manager.

🧰 What you bring

• Certificates: ATP (unrestricted or restricted); demonstrated piloting skills above Practical Test Standards minimums.
• Medical: Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical.
• Flight time: 1,000 hours in turboprop, turbofan, or turbojet aircraft.
• Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license (each with at least six months before expiration).
• Ability to consistently meet customer insurance requirements.
• Residence within a two-hour drive of the managed aircraft base.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in aviation or an aerospace-related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, candidates must meet the listed qualifications; a minimum of three years of industry experience is preferred.

• FAA Flight Instructor Certification (CFI).
• Cessna Citation 525 series (CE-525) type rating.
• 3,000+ total logged flying hours.
• International operating experience.
• Experience with Citation products and in multi-crew environments.
