This permanent, non–type rated opportunity is ideal for commercially minded pilots ready to build multi-engine turbine time, sharpen IFR proficiency, and grow within a safety-first, schedule-driven environment. Training is provided, and you’ll be at the heart of our operation at the El Paso, Texas base.
✈️ The opportunity
As a Metroliner First Officer, you’ll serve as SIC under Part 135, supporting safe, compliant, and on-time cargo operations across a dynamic network. 🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the Metroliner as SIC in accordance with FAA regulations, company SOPs, and Part 135 standards.
- Execute thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight & balance; maintain strong IFR proficiency.
- Use an iPad EFB to manage current charts, manuals, and flight releases; ensure device readiness each duty period.
- Coordinate with Dispatch and Maintenance; monitor MEL/CDL items and support safe, efficient decision-making.
- Oversee cargo integrity and loading compliance; safeguard security and on-time dispatch.
- Practice effective CRM and contribute to a just culture, SMS reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Work variable schedules (nights, weekends, holidays), respond to after-hour call outs, and travel extensively.
- Relocate to and operate primarily from the El Paso, TX base.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 800 hours
- PIC time: 250 hours
- Multi-engine: 75 hours
- Turbine: 40 hours
- License Required: CPL, IR, ME
- Medical: Class 1
- Accepted Licenses: FAA
- NTR: Yes (non–type rated applicants welcome)
🌟 Additional requirements
- Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Current passport (passport cards are not accepted)
- Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and other required background checks
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport SIDA badge
- iPad required when reporting for duty
- Willingness and ability to relocate to the El Paso, Texas base and travel extensively
- Ability to work various shifts, overtime, and after-hour call outs

- Familiarity with company aircraft/Metroliner operations
- Previous cargo experience
