Metroliner Captain – SA227 (Training Provided)
✈️ Take command as a Metroliner Captain
Step into the left seat of the Fairchild Swearingen SA227 Metroliner and lead safe, efficient turboprop operations. This is a permanent, non-type-rated opportunity with full training provided for qualified captains who bring strong multi-engine turbine experience and proven professionalism in a FAR 121/135 environment.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command of SA227 Metroliner operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and airmanship.
- Lead and mentor flight crew, execute SOPs, and maintain strict adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and conduct flights in all weather conditions within aircraft and regulatory limits, managing performance and weight/balance.
- Coordinate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and ground operations to deliver on-time, reliable service.
- Keep meticulous records, complete reports, and participate in training and checking as required.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 1,800 hours
- PIC time: 1,000 hours
- Multi-engine: 250 hours
- Turbine: 100 hours
- Cross-country: 500 hours (point-to-point)
- Instrument: 100 hours (50 in aircraft)
- Night: 100 hours
- Experience: Previous FAR 121 or 135 experience
- Type Rating: Not required — training provided
- Licensing: FAA CPL, IR, ME
- Medical: Class 1
- Currency: IPC or Part 121/135 recurrent within past 6 months
🌟 Preferred
- Previous multi-turbine PIC experience strongly preferred.
🧰 Compliance and additional requirements
- Maintain a valid passport; no visa or other travel restrictions.
- Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- High-performance and complex endorsements required.
- Meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA security background check.
- Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screening and other required background checks.
- Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance criteria.
