✈️ The Opportunity
As an MD‑80 First Officer, you’ll fly as SIC alongside a seasoned Captain, executing precise, checklist‑driven operations and delivering a polished, passenger‑focused experience. This is a Non‑Type Rated (NTR) opening — successful candidates receive MD‑80 differences and type training as part of onboarding.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Operate the MD‑80 series as SIC, adhering to SOPs, checklists, and company policies.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance with the Captain.
- Manage radio communications and maintain situational awareness across all phases of flight.
- Apply strong CRM and threat-and-error management to support safe, on-time operations.
- Monitor aircraft systems, automation, and flight guidance; cross‑verify data and callouts.
- Represent the flight department with a professional demeanor and appearance.
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- Total time: 2,000 hours
- Multi‑engine: 500 hours
- Turbine: 500 hours
- License: ATP (FAA)
- Medical: Class 1
- Type rating: Not required — training provided
🌟 Additional Requirements
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Current passport
- Valid government ID/driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance
- Professional demeanor and appearance
