Western Global Airlines delivers high-tech, on-demand air cargo charter solutions worldwide for e-commerce, express, freight forwarding, logistics, nonprofit, and governmental customers. As a First Officer (Second-in-Command), you will operate the MD-11 on global routes, upholding the highest safety standards and executing flights in full compliance with regulations and Captain directives. Tour of duty is 17 days away from home base.

🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as Second-in-Command under the direction of the Captain, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company policies, and SOPs.
- Participate in flight planning, performance calculations, FMS programming, and navigation across complex international and oceanic airspace.
- Monitor flight progress, systems, and fuel; assist with weather analysis, diversion planning, and decision-making.
- Execute precise ground and flight procedures, including checklists, briefings, and CRM, maintaining a safety-first mindset.
- Uphold cargo operations standards, including secure loading, weight and balance, and coordination with ground handling.
- Complete accurate flight documentation and adhere to international entry and exit requirements.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 2,500 hours
- License req.: ATP
- Open to Lic. Holders: FAA
- Medical: Class 1
- Type rating: Not required (Training Provided)
- FCC permit: Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Safety record: No history of accidents or incidents
- Passport: Valid passport allowing unrestricted international travel due to military contract requirements
- Screening: Ability to pass an DOT pre-employment drug test and 10-year background check
- Visa sponsorship: Not provided
🌟 Preferred experience
- Part 121: 1,000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations preferred
- Military credit: Up to 500 hours of military PIC time in a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane can count toward the 1,000-hour requirement
- PIC credit: PIC time in operations under §135.243(a)(1) or §91.1053(a)(2)(i), or a combination, can count toward the 1,000-hour requirement
