Draken is recruiting Captains to join our expanding Learjet fleet in Saudi Arabia in support of our contract with the RSAF. With Learjet flying already underway in the UK, this is a rare chance to help shape a growing in‑country operation from the ground up as the Saudi‑based aircraft evolve toward a cutting‑edge EW capability.
🧭 The Mission
Play a leading role as we introduce the Learjet 60XR into Saudi Arabia, supporting advanced training and operational readiness for the RSAF. This fleet will undertake evolving mission profiles, progressing toward an advanced EW capability. You’ll help establish procedures, standards, and best practice as part of a high‑performance, safety‑first operation.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Captain Learjet 60XR missions in Saudi Arabia, ensuring uncompromising safety and regulatory compliance.
- Execute and support tactical training sorties aligned to evolving EW objectives.
- Lead mission planning, risk assessment, and debriefs with operations, engineering, and training teams.
- Contribute to developing SOPs, training syllabi, and operational documentation for a growing in‑country fleet.
- Mentor fellow crew, fostering a professional, mission‑ready, and just‑culture environment.
- Uphold flight data monitoring, QA, and safety management system expectations.
🌟 What You’ll Bring
- 1,500+ hours total time and 1,000+ hours PIC.
- UK CAA Frozen ATPL with IR, MCC, ME, and UPRT.
- Class 1 medical and ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
- Proven tactical military captaincy experience and sound judgement in complex mission environments.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK MOD Security Clearances (nationality restrictions apply).
- No type rating required — full aircraft and mission conversion training provided.
