Learjet 60XR Captain – Electronic Warfare & Operational Readiness

🧭 The mission

As a Learjet 60XR Captain, you will deliver safe, precise and timely operations that underpin high-end training and readiness outcomes. You’ll lead flight operations that support complex mission profiles, collaborate with specialist teams, and bring tactical acumen to every sortie.

• Operate the Learjet 60XR within company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Plan, brief and debrief mission profiles aligned to EW and readiness objectives
• Apply sound judgement in dynamic, tactical environments
• Champion safety, compliance and a just culture across the team

🧰 What you’ll do

• Serve as aircraft Commander on Learjet 60XR missions
• Lead end-to-end flight preparation: performance, W&B, fuel, weather and NOTAMs
• Execute high-quality briefs/debriefs with operations and mission specialists
• Maintain rigorous standards in checklist discipline, SMS reporting and risk management
• Foster teamwork and mentor peers to elevate operational performance

🎓 Training & progression

Non-Type Rated welcome. A full Learjet 60XR differences/type training pathway is provided, alongside mission-specific preparation to ensure you’re set for success from your first line flight and beyond.

• Mission profile and systems familiarisation aligned to EW/OR tasks
• Ongoing proficiency, CRM and competency development

📋 Minimum requirements

• Total time: 1500 hours
• PIC time: 1000 hours
• Flight time notes: Tactical Military Captaincy Experience
• Type rating: Not required (Training Provided)
• License required: UK CAA ATPL (Frozen), IR, MCC, ME, UPRT
• Accepted licenses: UK CAA
• Medical: Class 1
• ICAO ELP level: 4
• Security clearance: Ability to gain and maintain UK MOD Security Clearances (nationality restrictions apply)
