Join a refined, owner-operated flight department as the peer leader and Lead Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream G600 based in Boca Raton. You’ll set the tone for safety, precision, and world-class service while actively flying and guiding a tight-knit team supported by EJM’s renowned safety culture and resources.

✈️ The Opportunity

As Lead PIC, you’ll be both an accomplished captain and an on-the-ground leader—balancing exceptional client care with operational discipline. You’ll champion CRM and TEM, oversee day-to-day flight department administration, and collaborate closely with maintenance and cabin crew to deliver seamless journeys for an experienced, long-time aircraft owner.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as Lead Pilot in Command, flying regularly while fulfilling all PIC duties and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead flight department performance: manage owner relationships, balance client and EJM priorities, and communicate proactively on risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure compliance with scheduled/unscheduled events and routine tasks (database updates, audits, checklists).
  • Handle administrative items: invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, owner/account tasks, and crew schedules.
  • Support and motivate flight department teammates; elevate concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot as needed.
  • Own safe flight execution: verify crewing and trip assignments, complete flight planning, performance, and weight & balance, and lead Threats, Plans & Considerations (TPC) briefings.
  • Comply with company SOPs; act as Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator; complete all preflight and passenger briefings; record discrepancies; monitor ground servicing.
  • Apply CRM/TEM across normal, abnormal, and emergency operations to uphold a just culture and safety-first mindset.
  • Deliver an elevated client experience; resolve service deviations and maintain all training, recency, SMS compliance, and crew qualifications.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

  • Certification: FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (unrestricted or restricted).
  • Experience: 4–6 years total, with prior corporate/business aviation experience required.
  • Type Rating: Gulfstream GVII (G600) strongly preferred; FAA type in applicable fleet preferred.
  • Professional Attributes: Sound judgment, precision, client-service mindset, strong communication, and leadership in a small-team environment.
  • Location: Strong preference for local, Boca Raton–area pilots.
  • Screening: Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.

🌟 Minimum Flight Time Requirements

  • Total Time: 3,500 hours
  • Pilot in Command: 2,000 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
  • PIC MEL: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 300 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours
