Lead Captain — Embraer Praetor/Legacy (EMB-550)

✈️ The Mission

As PIC, you will lead by example—owning all aspects of flight operations for assigned missions and crews. You will steward safety, standardization, and service excellence while representing the flight department with professionalism to senior executives, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC on Embraer Legacy/Praetor (EMB-550) missions supporting corporate executive travel.
• Lead and mentor flight crew; promote a just culture and strong decision-making.
• Plan and execute flights, including performance, weather, fuel, weight and balance, and alternates.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company SOPs; maintain rigorous operational discipline.
• Coordinate with scheduling, maintenance, and ground vendors to optimize aircraft readiness and on-time performance.
• Communicate clearly and discreetly with executives and stakeholders before, during, and after trips.
• Conduct thorough pre-/post-flight briefings and debriefs; complete accurate logs and reports.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

• Total time: 5000 hours
• Jet PIC: 2000 hours
• Type rating: Required
• Flight time notes: At least two unrestricted Type Ratings

🪪 Credentials

• License required: ATP
• Accepted licenses: FAA
• Medical: Class 1

🌟 Preferred

• Preferred time: EMB-550 Type Rating

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with corporate executives, regulatory agencies, and department personnel.
• Four-year college degree or an equivalent 10-year industry experience.
