✈️ The Opportunity

Sanford Air Transport is seeking a skilled King Air B200 captain to fly fixed-wing missions out of Sioux Falls. You’ll operate as part of an all-captain, two-pilot crew, taking direct responsibility for the safe, efficient conduct of each flight—from initial dispatch through termination—while upholding Sanford’s strong safety culture.

🧭 Schedule & Operations

  • Full-time, 42 hours per week on varied 12-hour shifts
  • Rotating weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage
  • Company-owned, company-maintained aircraft
  • Emphasis on safety management, standardization, and crew coordination

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Accept direct responsibility for safe, efficient flight operations from dispatch through termination
  • Comply with all applicable FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain current knowledge of the company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, and Aircraft Flight Manual
  • Demonstrate strong crew coordination, critical thinking, and rapid response to changing conditions
  • Collaborate effectively across disciplines to support Sanford-requested fixed-wing missions

🧾 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total time: Minimum 2,000 hours fixed-wing
  • Multi-engine: Minimum 250 hours
  • Currency: Maintain instrument currency per FAR 61.57(c), or hold a current company instrument proficiency check
  • Certificates: Current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land) with Instrument rating
  • Medical: Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • Operational availability: Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and shared on-call/vacation coverage
  • Weight compliance: 240 lb (109 kg) or less when fully dressed in uniform
  • Knowledge & skills: Demonstrated pilot proficiency; familiarity with company Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, and Aircraft Flight Manual; interdisciplinary teamwork; critical-thinking problem solving
