✈️ About the role
Step into the Captain’s seat of a Beechcraft King Air 90 and lead single‑pilot missions that power our Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) operations across Texas and Mexico. You’ll deliver precise, professional flying to meet company requirements and customer needs while contributing to a program that protects agriculture and communities.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the King Air 90 as single‑pilot captain for scheduled and mission‑driven sorties supporting SIT operations.
- Own all phases of flight: planning, performance calculations, weather/NOTAM review, fuel strategy, and risk management.
- Execute safe, compliant cross‑border operations between the U.S. and Mexico, adhering to company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with operations, maintenance, and ground teams to deliver reliable mission outcomes.
- Maintain meticulous aircraft, flight, and regulatory records.
- Champion a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total Time: 1,500 hours
- PIC Time: 500 hours
- License: FAA CPL with IR and ME
- Medical: FAA Class 2
- Type Rating: Not required — training provided
🌟 Preferred experience
- 50 hours PIC instrument (simulated or in flight)
- 50 hours PIC multi‑engine fixed wing in the last 12 months
- 100 hours total time in Beechcraft King Air
- 100 hours turbine time
🧩 Additional requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to qualify as a single‑pilot captain
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
- Relocation to Texas or Mexico required
🌍 Where you’ll work
Based in Texas and Mexico, you’ll support regional SIT missions with cross‑border operations as required. Relocation to one of these locations is required for this permanent role.
