Join MAG Aerospace and fly purpose-built ISR missions on modified King Air 350 (BE‑300) aircraft. If you’re a mission-focused aviator who thrives in complex airspace, day or night, across remote and austere locations, this role puts your skill, judgment, and crew leadership at the center of the action.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate modified COCO BE‑300 turboprops supporting ISR missions alongside Airborne Sensor Operators and Mission Commanders.
- Plan and execute flights in diverse environments—day or night, VMC/IMC—while maintaining strict adherence to program procedures and applicable commercial/host‑nation regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive pre‑flight planning, aircraft pre‑flight checks, and complete all flight-safety documentation to industry and FAA standards.
- Continuously monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission boundaries, other traffic, and aircraft systems to ensure safe, effective mission execution.
- Coordinate seamlessly with FBOs, military range control, civilian and military ATC, Primary Mission Equipment operators, Mission Commanders, and Mission Coordination Services.
- Identify aircraft maintenance discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions to keep aircraft mission-ready.
- Maintain night currency and instrument proficiency; serve as an Aviation Safety Pilot when directed.
- Operate from remote, austere, and primitive locations, including potential unimproved runways, with unwavering focus on crew safety and customer relations.
🧰 What you bring
- Flight hours: Minimum 1,000 hours Pilot‑in‑Command; at least 300 hours multi‑engine turboprop (for other‑aircraft PIC experience).
- Licenses & medical: Current FAA Class II Medical; FAA Commercial Pilot (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) — unrestricted or restricted.
- Type rating: BE‑300 type rating (unrestricted or SIC‑required).
- Mission qualification: Qualified in the applicable mission, aircraft type/design/series.
- Clearance & eligibility: Active DoD Secret clearance (TS preferred); U.S. citizenship required due to security/contract requirements; valid passport with 6+ months remaining.
- Preferred experience: Former U.S. military or government law‑enforcement fixed‑wing pilot; U.S. military instructor/maintenance pilot or instrument examiner; prior overseas rotations (especially USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM); USSOCOM global‑operations experience; Radio Telephone Operator Permit; current FAA CFI/IME; U.S. military or OSHA Safety Officer.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Industry tenure: 7–9 years related experience preferred.
