✈️ The Mission

MAG Aerospace is seeking an ISR First Officer/SIC to deliver safe, effective, and efficient mission flights in modified, contractor-owned/contractor-operated King Air 350 turboprops. You will integrate with Airborne Sensor Operators, Mission Commanders, and ground/air traffic services to execute ISR missions across CONUS and OCONUS locations, including remote, austere, and primitive sites. Expect day and night operations under both VMC and IMC with a continuous emphasis on crew safety and customer mission success.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Conduct safe, effective, and efficient flight operations as SIC on the King Air 350 in support of ISR missions.
  • Perform thorough pre-flight planning, briefing, and aircraft checks; maintain night currency and instrument proficiency.
  • Coordinate in-flight with Airborne Sensor Operators and Mission Commanders responsible for onboard sensor systems and mission execution.
  • Monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission boundaries, other traffic, and aircraft systems throughout the mission.
  • Interface with Fixed Base Operators, Mission Coordination Services, Primary Mission Equipment operators, military range control, and military/civil ATC facilities.
  • Operate under applicable commercial and Host Nation regulations and program procedures.
  • Identify aircraft maintenance discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and complete all required flight-safety documentation per FAA/industry standards.
  • Execute missions from remote, austere, and primitive locations, potentially using unimproved runways.
  • Perform Aviation Safety Pilot duties as assigned.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Flight Time: 300 hours documented total time (minimum).
  • Medical: Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Certificates: FAA Commercial Pilot — Multi-Engine Land with Instrument privileges or FAA Airline Transport Pilot — MEL (Restricted or Unrestricted).
  • Security: Active Secret security clearance (TS preferred).
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizen.
  • Passport: Valid U.S. passport with at least 6 months remaining before expiration.
  • Medical Assessment: Ability to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical evaluation.

🌟 Preferred Background

  • Former U.S. military or government law-enforcement pilot experience.
  • U.S. military training as a fixed-wing instructor pilot, maintenance pilot, or instrument examiner.
  • Overseas rotation experience, especially within USCENTCOM or USAFRICOM areas of operation.
  • Radio Telephone Operator’s Permit.
  • USSOCOM global-operations experience.
  • PIC time in other aircraft, including multi-engine turboprops.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or 7–9 years of related experience.
