  • Relocation: Willing to reside within a 1-hour drive of SUS
  • Minimum Flight Time: 1,000 total hours; 500 PIC hours

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as Second-in-Command (SIC) and perform all flight duties as assigned by the PIC.
  • Adhere to FAA regulations, company Standard Operating Procedures, and the General Operations Manual.
  • Support on-time performance and comply with customer schedules.
  • Execute thorough preflight planning: study weather and forecasts for departure, route, destination, and alternates; prepare and file flight plans.
  • Calculate weight-and-balance, fuel requirements, and performance charts for each mission.
  • Ensure aircraft safety, readiness, cleanliness, and proper provisioning before departure.
  • Communicate clearly with PIC, dispatch, maintenance, and customers to maintain safe and efficient operations.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

  • Certificates: FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single-Engine Land, Multi-Engine Land, and Instrument ratings.
  • Flight time: Minimum 1,000 hours total time and 500 hours PIC.
  • Thorough knowledge of flight operations, planning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to relocate/commute to within a 1-hour drive of Spirit of St. Louis Airport (SUS) in Chesterfield, MO.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

  • ATP Certificate (unrestricted or restricted).
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 150+ hours of multi-engine time.
  • Previous charter or corporate flight experience.

💪 Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged desk and computer work as needed for planning and post-flight tasks.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds to a height of 50 inches.
  • Specified seated 5-pound pulling ability.
  • Sufficient grip strength to operate knobs and controls.
  • 15-pound push and pull capability for flight controls and throttle.
  • Dexterity in both hands to operate knobs and toggle switches.
