  • Schedule: Irregular; short-notice assignments and occasional cancellations
  • Travel: Several days away from home most weeks

✈️ The Opportunity

Thrive Aviation is hiring a skilled Captain to lead safe, efficient operations on the HondaJet HA-420. You’ll be the pilot in command responsible for exceptional decision-making, crew leadership, and customer care—delivering a premium experience while operating in full compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as PIC for ground and in-flight operations, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
  • Lead assigned flight crews; train and mentor First Officers on aircraft and flight standards.
  • Thoroughly complete preflight planning and checklists; verify passenger identification before boarding.
  • Anticipate customer needs in a close-quarters environment and consistently exceed expectations.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with crew, dispatch, maintenance, administration, and leadership.
  • Operate in full compliance with FAA regulations, Thrive’s GOM, operations specifications, and departmental procedures.
  • Adapt to irregular schedules, short-notice calls, and occasional flight cancellations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total time: 3,000 hours (fixed-wing)
  • PIC time: 1,500 hours
  • Turbine time: 500 hours
  • Certificates: ATP (Unrestricted or Restricted)
  • Medical: Current, valid FAA First Class Medical
  • Licenses: FCC Radio License
  • Travel documents: Valid U.S. passport; eligible for international operations without restrictions
  • Residence: Live in, or within approximately two hours of, a major airport

🧩 Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Irregular hours with potential for short-notice flights and cancellations; multi-day trips common.

Compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company operational standards is mandatory.
