Qualcomm Inc., a global leader in wireless technology, is seeking a proven Gulfstream G650 Captain to join our Part 91 corporate flight department based at KCRQ – McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, California. 🧭 What you’ll do

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command on the Gulfstream G650 for domestic and international missions.
  • Execute safe, compliant operations under company SOPs and applicable FARs, modeling sound judgment and leadership.
  • Lead end-to-end trip planning: performance and runway analysis, fuel planning, weight and balance, and weather/NOTAM review.
  • Operate advanced avionics and automation with precision, including EFIS and FMS, ensuring best practices in cockpit resource management.
  • Coordinate closely with schedulers, maintenance, vendors, and fellow crew to deliver an exceptional, reliable travel experience.
  • Uphold meticulous standards for documentation, currency, and training; present logbooks and certificates for inspection as required.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by participating in standardization, debriefs, and safety-driven feedback.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Certificates: Current ATP with multi-engine rating and at least one jet type rating; FAA First-Class Medical.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as Captain with an FAR Part 91, 121, or 135 operator, or military equivalent.
  • Flight time minimums: Total 4,000 hours; 2,000 hours PIC; 2,000 hours jet; 1,000 hours jet PIC.
  • Avionics: Demonstrated experience with automated cockpits, EFIS, and FMS.
  • Record: No aircraft accidents/incidents or provide a full explanation; no past or pending FAA violations or provide a full explanation.
  • Documentation: Able to present all logbooks, licenses, and medical certificate for inspection.
  • Readiness: Able to be on-site at Palomar Airport within 2 hours’ notice.

🌟 Preferred qualifications

  • Type-rated in GVI, GVII, and/or GVIII airframes.
  • Recent experience in global corporate jet operations and complex airspace/procedures.

📍 Base and schedule

  • Base: KCRQ – McClellan-Palomar Airport, Carlsbad, California
  • Travel: Domestic and international, as business needs require
  • Schedule: Variable; flexibility for short-notice trips, weekends, and holidays
