Gulfstream G450 Captain – Las Vegas (Type Rated Preferred)

Thrive Aviation is seeking a Las Vegas–based Captain and Pilot in Command for the Gulfstream G450. You will own the safe and efficient operation of every flight while delivering an exceptional, discreet experience for high-profile clients on overwater, long-haul, and international missions.

  • Location: Las Vegas, NV (LAS Base)
  • Aircraft: Gulfstream G450
  • Reports to: Chief Pilot
  • Travel: International, overwater, and long-haul; trips may last several weeks

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient ground and in-flight operations.
  • Verify passenger identification and complete thorough pre-flight checklists.
  • Deliver elevated, confidential service to high-profile clientele; anticipate needs and exceed expectations.
  • Lead and mentor First Officers; model exceptional CRM and a just-culture mindset.
  • Maintain clear communication and coordination with leadership, assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administration.
  • Comply with all FAA and international regulations, Thrive Aviation’s GOM, Operational Specifications, and department procedures.
  • Adapt to dynamic schedules, call-outs, and short-notice flight changes based on business needs.

🧰 What you bring

  • Minimum 4,000 hours total time, including at least 1,000 hours multi-engine PIC.
  • Proven overwater, long-haul, and international mission experience.
  • Current pilot certificate, FCC Radio Telephone Operator Permit, and FAA First Class Medical.
  • Valid, unexpired U.S. passport with unrestricted international travel eligibility.
  • COVID-19 vaccination aligned with international entry requirements.
  • Current G450 type rating highly desired.
  • Exceptional communication skills; thrives in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • Highest level of discretion and confidentiality with VIP clients.
  • Residence in or within two hours of one of the following airports (LAS strongly preferred): SNA, VNY, BUR, LAX, ONT, LGB, SAN, OAK, SFO, SJC, PDX, SEA, PHX, ABQ, LAS, RNO, DEN, DAL, DFW, AUS, DSM, IAH, HOU, PBI, FLL, MIA, TPA, MCO, ORD, PWK, ATL, GSO, CLT, TEB, LGA, EWR, JFK, BOS.
  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods in a confined space and lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

  • Irregular hours, multi-week trips away from home, and potential call-outs to fly.
  • Itinerary adjustments and cancellations with little notice based on business needs.
