Executive Jet Management (EJM) is hiring a Global 6000 Captain to lead safe, compliant, and service-focused operations for a well-established aircraft based at Bridgeport, Connecticut (KBDR), with the listing associated to Stratford. This two-pilot account flies approximately 260 hours per year under both Part 91 and Part 135 and is supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. This is a non-commutable, base-assigned position; candidates should reside within a two-hour drive of BDR. A direct Lead opportunity may be available for exceptionally qualified candidates.

✈️ What you’ll do

As Pilot in Command, you hold final authority for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Global 6000 while delivering an exceptional owner and passenger experience.

  • Confirm crewing and trip assignments meet all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance, weather/NOTAM review, and all mission prep.
  • Conduct required briefings using the Threats, Plans & Considerations methodology.
  • Adhere to company SOPs; coordinate seamlessly with dispatch, maintenance, and other EJM partners.
  • Serve as Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and In‑Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) per company policy.
  • Execute thorough preflight tasks; verify maintenance status and mission capability; document discrepancies per SOPs.
  • Oversee or ensure fueling, oil, oxygen, and ground servicing are completed correctly.
  • Conduct clear passenger briefings; anticipate and accommodate special passenger needs.
  • Employ CRM and TEM principles for effective communication in normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
  • Champion service excellence: identify improvements, resolve service deviations, and represent EJM professionally.
  • Maintain regulatory and company training/recency; participate in the Safety Management System and report concerns appropriately.

🧭 Minimum qualifications

  • Total Time: 3,500+ hours
  • Pilot in Command: 2,000+ hours (including 500+ PIC MEL)
  • Multi‑Engine Land (MEL): 1,500+ hours
  • Instrument: 300+ hours
  • Jet Time: 500+ hours
  • Type Rating: FAA type rating in the Global 6000 (required)
  • Experience: Prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred; Global 6000 time in type strongly preferred
  • Residency: Live within a two-hour drive of KBDR; this role is not commutable
  • Compliance: Meet all company/regulatory requirements; pre-employment drug screening and background checks required
  • Essential Functions: Ability to perform all duties of the position
