First Officer – Private Jet Operations (Midwest Region)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Operate the aircraft safely from taxi through landing on every flight, following FAA regulations, OEM checklists, and the NetJets Flight Operations/Operating Manuals.
• Serve as the primary liaison for Owners and passengers from FBO arrival to final destination, handling introductions, briefings, weather and itinerary updates, and safety information.
• Deliver concierge-caliber in-flight service when needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
• Load and properly stow baggage and special items as required.
• Accommodate flights with pets and in cabins where smoking may occur.
• Act as the final authority on the aircraft for operational matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
• Report maintenance irregularities to the Fleet Maintenance Control Center and complete associated documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of flight operations.

🧰 What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; fluent in written and spoken English.
• FAA ATP certificate, R-ATP, or eligibility under 14 CFR 61.160 with Multi-Engine rating; ATP written complete prior to indoctrination training.
• Current FAA First-Class Medical and FCC Restricted Radio Operator Permit.
• Valid U.S. passport; unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.; ability to travel internationally.
• Valid state driver’s license; ability to obtain airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges and pass TSA background screening.
• Exceptional passenger-service skills, professional presence, and strong communication under pressure.
• Sound, rapid decision-making and meticulous attention to both technical and service details.
• Comfort working around animals and in cabins where smoking may occur.
• Ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
• Core competencies: adaptability, collaboration, positive results, service orientation, and curiosity.

📏 Flight-time pathways and minimums

• Company thresholds: 1,000 total time; 250 hours fixed-wing PIC; 50 hours fixed-wing multi-engine.
• FAA ATP/R-ATP eligibility (one of the following):
  • 1,500 hours total time (standard ATP), or
  • 1,250 hours with eligible university R-ATP certificate, or
  • 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or
  • 1,000 hours with eligible university R-ATP certificate.
• Additional time requirements: 200 hours cross-country (over 50 NM), 100 hours night (or 75 hours with at least 45 night T/O and landings), 75 hours instrument (actual or simulated in-flight; excludes simulator-only time).

🛫 Schedule and working conditions

• Varying day, night, weekday, weekend, and holiday schedules; must manage rest for flight duty.
• Duty periods up to 14 hours per day for as many as eight consecutive days; trips may keep you away from home for seven or more days/nights.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed, service-forward presentation at all times.
• Operate safely and professionally in demanding, dynamic conditions.
