First Officer – NetJets Private Aviation (South U.S.)

✈️ About the role

You’ll support the safe operation of every flight from taxi to touchdown, adhering to FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual/Aircraft Operating Manual, and Standard Operating Practices. Beyond the cockpit, you’ll provide a highly personalized service—briefing passengers, coordinating catering, managing baggage and pets, and partnering closely with NetJets teams to deliver a seamless journey.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Execute all phases of flight in compliance with FAA, OEM checklists, and NetJets SOPs.
• Greet Owners and passengers, provide flight and safety briefings, weather updates, and explain itinerary changes.
• Act as the primary liaison between passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO through departure at destination.
• Deliver in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and coordinating catering.
• Load and properly secure baggage; accommodate flights with pets and, when applicable, smoking Owners.
• Maintain operational authority and uphold all safety and regulatory standards.
• Report maintenance abnormalities to the Maintenance Control Center and complete all required documentation accurately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on fleet needs and assignment.

📏 Minimum flight experience

• Total time: Meet FAA ATP/R-ATP minimums: 1,500 hours; or 1,250 hours with qualifying university R-ATP; or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or qualifying university R-ATP.
• PIC (fixed-wing): 250 hours minimum.
• Cross-country (50+ NM): 200 hours minimum.
• Night: 100 hours, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
• Instrument: 75 hours (actual or simulated flight; excludes simulator-only time).
• Multi-engine (fixed-wing): 50 hours minimum.
• ATP Written: Must be successfully completed prior to Indoctrination Training.

🪪 Licenses, medicals & clearances

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate (Unrestricted or R-ATP) or eligibility under 14 CFR 61.160.
• Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Valid passport and valid United States passport enabling unrestricted international travel.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges; pass TSA background screening.

🕒 Schedule & working conditions

• Varying day, night, weekday, weekend, and holiday assignments.
• Manage rest to meet flight duty requirements.
• Duty periods up to 14 hours per day for as many as eight consecutive days.
• Trips may require seven or more consecutive days and nights away from home.
• Operate across multiple time zones and in challenging weather conditions.
• Comfort working around animals and in cabins where Owners may smoke.
