🧭 The role
As an Airbus A330 First Officer, you will operate in a multi-crew environment to deliver safe, efficient and compliant widebody operations. You will apply strong CRM and threat & error management, support high-quality decision-making on the flight deck, and represent the company with professionalism on every sector. As a Sponsored Reservist, you will also maintain readiness for agreed duties alongside your primary flying roster.
🧰 What you will do
- Operate the A330 as First Officer under the Captain’s command in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough pre‑flight planning, performance calculations and briefings; manage FMS set‑up, navigation and systems monitoring throughout all phases of flight.
- Uphold the highest safety, security and compliance standards; contribute to a proactive safety culture and reporting within the SMS.
- Deliver excellent operational discipline, workload management and fuel efficiency practices.
- Participate in recurrent training, checking and simulator sessions to maintain currency and proficiency.
- Fulfil Sponsored Reservist commitments and training as directed, integrating these obligations with rostered duties.
🌟 What you bring
- Airbus time: Minimum 500 hours on Airbus A320/A330/A350/A380. (Hours spent solely as a cruise pilot are not included.)
- PIC time: Minimum 70 hours.
- Licence: UKCAA Frozen ATPL with valid IR, MCC, ME and UPRT.
- Medical: Class 1.
- Language: ICAO ELP Level 6.
- Re-basing: Willingness to re-base to Manchester.
- Reservist status: Commitment and willingness to be a Sponsored Reservist.
- Type rating: Not required — A330 training provided by the company.

You will receive structured A330 type rating training and recurrent development to maintain currency, sharpen technical skills and reinforce best‑in‑class CRM and safety practices.
📨 How to apply
Ready to step onto the A330 flight deck? Please submit your application including:
- Current UKCAA licence summary (Frozen ATPL, IR, MCC, ME, UPRT) and Class 1 medical.
- Logbook extracts evidencing Airbus hours and minimum 70 hrs PIC. Please highlight A320/A330/A350/A380 time; exclude cruise‑only hours.
- Brief note confirming willingness to re-base to Manchester and to serve as a Sponsored Reservist.
