Operation: FAA Part 135 | Approximately 500 flight hours per year
Team: Established account adding a third pilot

Lead safe, compliant, and service-focused operations as the Pilot in Command of a well-maintained Falcon 2000EX EASy based in vibrant Austin, Texas.

✈️ About the role

As Captain (PIC), you hold final authority and responsibility for every flight operating under EJM’s Part 135 certificate. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional owner/passenger experience while collaborating closely with your fellow crew members and EJM’s operations teams.

  • Base: Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS)
  • Residency: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Austin area (not a commutable position)
  • Aircraft: Falcon 2000EX EASy
  • Schedule: Supports an established account’s flying schedule (approx. 500 hours/year)

🧭 Your mission

  • Ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of every flight as final authority.
  • Verify crewing and trip assignments meet company and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead flight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance for each trip.
  • Use the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate risk.
  • Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures and coordinate effectively with internal partners.
  • Serve as Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy.
  • Complete all preflight actions, including maintenance status checks and discrepancy recording.
  • Oversee ground servicing (fuel, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
  • Conduct required passenger briefings and provide concierge-level customer service.
  • Apply CRM and TEM principles in normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
  • Maintain training currency, comply with EJM’s Safety Management System (SMS), and promptly report safety or compliance concerns.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Experience: Prior Part 135 experience required.
  • Hours minimums:
    • Total time: 3,500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
    • PIC Multi-Engine Land: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
  • Type rating: FAA type rating in the Falcon 2000EX EASy preferred, not required.
  • Location: Must live in or relocate to the Austin, TX area (non-commutable).
  • Standards: Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
  • Applicants who do not meet PIC time requirements may apply and be evaluated against EJM’s Second in Command (SIC) requirements.
