DHC-8 Captain – Overseas Part 135 Operations (Kwajalein Atoll)
Lead the Mission as a DHC-8 Captain in the Pacific
Berry Aviation is seeking a proven DHC-8 Captain to serve as Pilot in Command on overseas Part 135 missions based at Kwajalein Atoll. If you thrive in dynamic, austere environments and value precision, safety, and mission success, this role puts you at the forefront of meaningful operations.
✈️ The Opportunity
As PIC, you’ll plan and execute complex missions in accordance with FAA Part 135 requirements and company procedures. You’ll lead risk assessments, evaluate weather and terrain, and ensure every flight is released, documented, and flown to the highest professional standard.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Plan assigned flights, gathering mission purpose, weather, operating procedures, and special instructions.
- Prepare and verify flight plans, accounting for altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight and balance, performance data, airport facilities, and nav aids.
- Ensure each flight is properly released under FAR Part 135 and that all required documentation is onboard.
- Conduct thorough preflight inspections and complete a formal risk assessment for every mission.
- Operate the DHC-8 in compliance with company SOPs, customer requirements, FAA regulations, approved flight plans, and mission schedules.
- Maintain accurate and timely flight, aircraft, and mission records.
🧰 What You’ll Bring (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with Multi-Engine Land rating.
- Current FAA First Class Medical.
- Current U.S. passport with at least six months validity.
- Minimum 1,500 hours PIC and 500 hours multi-engine PIC.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- 3,000+ hours total time; 1,200+ hours multi-engine turbine.
- Previous DHC-8 and Part 135 experience.
- Aerial delivery and NVG operations experience.
- Background supporting U.S. Government contracts in OCONUS or austere environments.
