✈️ The Opportunity
As Captain on the iconic Twin Otter (on floats), you’ll command challenging, rewarding operations across coastal, island, and open-water routes. This role blends hands-on stick-and-rudder flying with disciplined SOP adherence and a strong customer focus.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Operate the DHC-6 Twin Otter on floats with precision, professionalism, and an unwavering safety mindset.
- Plan and execute flights, including performance, weight and balance, fuel, weather, and waterway considerations.
- Uphold regulatory compliance to Part 121/135 standards and company SOPs.
- Demonstrate excellent CRM and culturally aware communication with a diverse passenger base and crew.
- Lead by example, mentor crew members, and contribute to continuous safety and service improvements.
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- Total Time: 2,500 hours
- Multi-Engine: 1,500 hours
- Floatplane Operations: 1,000 hours
- Licenses: ATP + Float Rating
- Operational Background: Prior experience in Part 121 or 135 operations
- Seaplane Proficiency: Demonstrated in coastal, island, or open-water environments
- Type Rating: Not required — training provided (DHC-6)
🌟 Preferred Experience
- Recent PIC time in aircraft such as the De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter (on floats), Grumman G-73 Mallard, or similar seaplanes.
