🧭 About the role
As a Captain on the DHC‑6 Twin Otter, you will lead safe, efficient charter operations in some of the most diverse terrain in the world. You’ll operate into remote, short and challenging airstrips, uphold Hevilift’s safety-first culture, and deliver dependable services that connect communities and support key industries across PNG.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 2,500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 1,500 hours
- Multi-engine PIC: 500 hours
- Time on type: 100 hours
- License: CPL, IR, ME
- Medical: Class 1
- English proficiency: ICAO Level 5
- Accepted authorities: CASA PNG, ICAO
Flight time notes:
- 500 hrs ME PIC may include Command Practice / ICUS
- 100 hrs on type may be obtained during company training

🛫 What you’ll do
- Command DHC‑6 Twin Otter operations across diverse terrain and weather
- Operate to short, challenging airstrips in line with SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Lead and mentor your crew while fostering a just culture and high standards
- Plan and execute flights, including performance, fuel, and risk management
- Coordinate with ground and engineering teams to ensure aircraft readiness
